All necklaces are unique and therefore vary in length, however they are all approximately 30-35 inches (75-90cm). If you would like a specific size please state this when ordering. I've heard about safety clasps. Why do you not use them? There are two main types of safety clasps available on the market. One is magnetic. If ingested, this is incredibly dangerous for a baby or child, therefore we would never take this risk. The other type is a break-away clasp, which in our opinion gives a false sense of security meaning that a child is less likely to have the supervision they require. These clasps do NOT prevent strangulation as they require an enormous force to pull them apart. They also weaken over time and therefore the necklace will become unwearable. Why do you not use wooden beads? Wooden beads can splinter and therefore be dangerous to the baby. Wooden beads can also absorb dust and liquids and are extremely difficult to clean them properly. Why do you not use glass beads? Glass beads can shatter, leaving very sharp pieces of glass where they can cause serious injury to your baby. Why do you not use hemp? It is a natural and environmentally-friendly product That is true. However, hemp suffers from the same problem as wooden beads in that it can absorb substances and be difficult to clean.
