Our necklaces are specifically made with safety in mind from fun colourful and attractive non-toxic acrylic beads. We do not use dangerous glass beads or wooden beads that may splinter. The necklaces are strung on ultra strong waterproof cord (not fishing line like some other necklaces on the market) tested to 100lbs (approximately 45kg) breaking strain and are knotted to minimise loss of beads in the unlikely event of a breakage. The necklace is secured very strongly using a unique knotting method. Our necklaces are NOT sold as a baby teether therefore there is no true requirement to sterilise it however it will come to you pre-sterilised in clean new packaging. We recommend cold sterilisation with tablet or Milton®, or even simpler just wipe over with a baby wipe for instant cleansing. Please note, however, not all of our necklaces are sterilisable for example necklaces with bells. This is not a toy and due to the risk of strangulation it must never be worn by a baby or young child. It is our recommendation that it is only ever worn by a sensible adult. Whilst every effort is made to ensure the safety of our products Babybeads UK cannot be held responsible for any injury caused by our products.
